Sydney Logan does it again. She lead me to believe that a story was going to go in a certain direction and then BAM, I was blown away by the turn of events. It was a pleasant surprise for sure and left me smiling when I read the last sentence.
Mistletoe Magic is a sweet short story about how important it is to communicate with your significant other. Melanie has had a rough couple of years and her lack of communication between her and her husband has more than put a damper on the love between them. If only she could figure out how to make it all right again.
Sydney has this raw talent that leaves me craving more of her writing style and her well developed characters. Her words suck me in and hold my attention until the very end, not to mention gave me the closure I needed between the characters but left me wanting more of them. I'd love to see how their relationship progresses.
