With Good Behavior Review

With Good Behavior by Jennifer Lane

In a world gripped by organized crime, family dysfunction, and dim hopes of redemption, can true love persevere? For Sophie Taylor, a beautiful psychologist who lost everything when she violated an ethical boundary, and Grant Madsen, a handsome naval officer who sacrificed everything to protect a loved one, finding that love may carry an unbearable cost.
Starting their lives over in Chicago, both are fighting influences from their family and running as fast as they can to escape the past. When their paths cross outside the parole officer's door, the attraction is instantaneous. But a hidden connection may not only shatter their fledgling love, but prove deadly to them both.

Have you ever read a book that had you so engrossed that anytime there was a slight interruption like… oh I don’t know… one of the kids complaining their hungry? Or the phone ringing to say that your kids don’t have school the next day because of snow? Or Your husband calling just to say I love you?  And you got frustrated?... YEP, that was me with this book.  I was so tuned in to everything that was going on that it was as if my real life was placed on hold for 412 pages of awesomeness!

Sophie is that heroine that you can’t help but absolutely fall head over heels for.  She’s hit a bit of a rough patch because of a poor decision to trust the wrong person.. but her luck is about to change or at least we hope it will.

Grant was a total sweetheart… I loved him… really I did… but he was also a little on the soft side for a former Navy man who served two years in prison… BUT then again considering the circumstances I was more than able to understand WHY he was so sensitive… but he also wasn’t because even though he was sensitive and very compassionate he was also a baddass!  A total, yummy, sexy, baddass that I wouldn’t mind being cuffed to for a few hours… alone… in his PO’s office ;-)

Watching these two interact was amusing as well as adorable.  In the real world of ex-cons and parolees these two really should have had nothing to do with each other… but in this sweet, suspenseful, sassy story… they were perfect for each other in so many ways!  I honestly think that Grant and Sophie complimented each other so well that I am MORE than anxious to read Bad Behavior to see what kind of shenanigans these two will get into next…

But there was more to love about With Good Behavior… there were more characters that I found absolutely hilarious, or heartfelt, or just wanted to punch them!  Like Roger… that man seriously cracked me up!  Then Jerry… a baddass who finds his soft side.  Or Logan… do I love him or do I hate him?  I couldn’t decide!

This is definitely a book that should be on everyone’s MUST READ least of 2013!!!  Jennifer has a wonderful writing style that pulls you in and gives you a little glimpse into everyone’s mind!  Her ability to balance out love, hate, friendship, and humor is something that will have me coming back for more of her work!

Happy Reading!
