Do you believe in Superheroes? What Superhero power would you want to have?
Gaia City.
A place where technology is advanced, superheroes commonplace and the masses are addicted to Who Wants to Date a Superhero?, a show that lets women compete for the chance to win a date with one of Gaia’s Guardians.
Cassie Tidwell never thought she’d be humiliating herself on live vid for dinner with a man in spandex. But the secret she’s keeping will have her jumping through hoops for a chance to have this season’s hunky bachelor, Theta Wave, all to herself. Will her choice ensure that Graham, the man she’s lusted after for months, never wants to see her again? When her friend gives her an amethyst anklet engraved with strange symbols, telling her it has the ability to shield her thoughts from the probing powers of Theta Wave, she’s dubious. But she needs all the luck she can get if she’s to fight for one man’s help…and another’s heart. EXCERPT “The best reality show in the galaxy is only hours away. That’s right, audience. Back for its third season, Gaia City’s own Who Wants to Date a Superhero?, the show where five women must undergo three harrowing trials to win a date with one sexy, super hunk.“Remember last year’s winner? Here’s what she had to say about her late-night rendezvous with your favorite ball buster and mine—Rock Hammer…”The camera cut away to a buxom blonde in a bright pink leotard. “He was a great guy,” she enthused, twirling a golden curl around her finger. “A real gentleman. And to answer the question all those curious fans want to know…”She looked directly into the camera and winked. “He really is hard…all over.”Cassie rolled her eyes as the camera zoomed in on the simpering aerobics instructor. Was it just last year she was curled up on the couch, eating popcorn and laughing at these desperate women scrambling for a date with the beefy Rock? She remembered feeling sorry for him, for all the members of Gaia’s Guardians—Spark, Rock Hammer, Triad and the others, the group of super beings that called Gaia City home. Constantly in the spotlight, and then having women literally walking through fire just for the status of being seen with them must make it hard to have any semblance of a normal life. Of course, there was nothing normal about any of them. She narrowed her eyes as the publicity photos of the previous winner and Rock Hammer flashed on the screen and the announcer began to speak once more. “You heard her, ladies, another satisfied winner. And who will our chosen few be vying for this time? What man of mystery, what defender of the innocent, has stepped forward in search of that perfect woman? You know him, you love him…and with his abilities, you can bet he knows you too. It’s Theta Wave!”
Her throat went dry and she listened absently while the announcer rattled off his skills. Telepathy, telekinesis and Mind Fog, a specialty of his, to name a few.
But she couldn’t take her eyes off of the news footage montage of him in action. He wasn’t flashy like Spark, or completely lacking in subtly like Rock Hammer, but there was no ignoring Theta Wave. He strode into the thick of danger, using his abilities to help keep the others safe. He could lift a building with the powers of his mind, help a traumatized little girl forget the horror she’d witnessed at a villain’s hand…plus he had a hell of a right hook.
And that bodysuit. She was only human. She couldn’t count how many times she had drooled while studying all the lean, rippling muscles outlined in that blue and black bodysuit. But it covered everything, there was even a hood for his head. All anyone ever saw of Theta Wave’s face was his mouth. His full, sensual mouth.
None of that now, she inwardly smacked herself. You aren’t entering this farce to fiddle with a fantasy. She needed Theta, it was true. But not for a date.

In Gaia City being caught between a Rock and hard place takes on a whole new meaning.
Return to Gaia City. Where there are way too many superheroes for Dayna’s peace of mind. Growing up as the unofficial mascot for Gaia’s Guardians hasn’t been easy. So maybe she overcompensates. Takes risks she shouldn’t. Stone Matthews was an introvert until the day he wandered into the burial chamber of an ancient and powerful ruler and became…Rock Hammer. Now he’s an invincible chick magnet, but he still has no idea how to deal with women. Especially Dayna. The tasty reporter has always pushed his buttons and turned him on, but she’s unattainable. With Triad still missing, Theta Wave on his honeymoon and the lair in disarray, there is no one around but Stone to save the day when Dayna goes chasing after The Pearl of Isis and a story that could be the death of her. And when he gets his hands on her, all bets are off.

I like superheroes. If I could have a power, I'd like to be able to heal people. OR, since I like to go places but HATE to travel, I'd like to be able to close my eyes, click my heels, and be anywhere in the world.
