How to Love Blog Tour & Giveaway

How-To-Love

How to Love (San Amaro Singles) by Kelly Jamieson

Relationship, no…but threesome, hell yes!

Ever since Jules’s new neighbor moved in, she’s been undressing him in her mind. Mike is the fresh inspiration she needs to make her erotic photography studio a success, if she can convince him and his equally buff roommate, Carlos, to strip for her lens. And maybe indulge in a little off-camera fun as well.

But Jules isn’t too worried. She doesn’t do relationships, but she loves men and sex—and in her experience, most men are okay with that.

Judging from the raw emotions leaping from the images in Jules’s gallery, Mike senses there’s a lot going on beneath her flirtatious, slightly cynical exterior. He and Carlos are happy in their committed relationship, but they’ve always felt there’s a piece missing. They want a woman. Jules could be that woman.

A threesome with two committed men? Sounds like an emotionally risk-free dream come true for Jules. But when they make it clear they want more, her deepest fears push to the surface, straining bonds forged in incredible heat to the breaking point…

Warning: The book features two hot men brave enough to climb cliffs, strip naked for erotic photographs, have sex in a portrait studio and on a cliff, and who have the courage to teach a commitment-phobic woman how to love

Kelly Jamieson is a best-selling author of over twenty-five romance novels and novellas. Her writing has been described as “emotionally complex”, “sweet and satisfying” and “blisteringly sexy”.

I have to warn you that the following excerpt is explicit... however I HAD to post it because there is this funny little part in there and quite frankly anyone who can make something that hot, funny too... is freaking awesome!  I can't wait to read this book!

Explicit Excerpt
“Okay, Jules?” Mike moved up behind her and his body heat radiated through her T-shirt. He set his hands on her waist and rubbed his face on her hair. She nodded.
Carlos stepped in front of her, now wearing only a snug pair of black boxer briefs, and started to unbutton her jeans. Mike slid her T-shirt up over her ribcage, nudging her arms, and she raised them so he could lift the T-shirt over her head. A delicious warmth filled her, her limbs going heavy, her eyes falling closed as their hands brushed over her body, removing her clothes. Mike’s chest pressed up against her back, hot and hard, his hands sliding around over her stomach, holding her, so carefully.
Carlos helped her step out of her jeans, then stood before her. He lifted her chin with one hand and kissed her mouth, and she sank into the dream, into sensation, heat and touch, whispered sighs and soft breaths, the taste of Carlos on her tongue, her lips. His lips were fuller than Mike’s, his kisses different but both so sexy.
Mike’s hand slid lower down her belly, resting just above her panties, right where she ached deep inside, his mouth finding the side of her neck and laying hot, open-mouthed kisses there.
“Too much,” she moaned, almost overwhelmed by their two big bodies, all heat and muscle, their hands, their mouths.
“Oh baby,” whispered Carlos. “You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.”
“I think that’s a song.”
He smiled. “It is. A great song.”
Mike snorted behind her. “Bachman Turner Overdrive? Seriously? That is not a seductive bedroom song.”
“Sure it is. I’d sing it for you, but…”
“Christ, no.”
Jules let her head fall back on Mike’s shoulder, amusement filtering through her once again.
“I’m a good singer,” Carlos continued, bending to kiss her throat, then drag his tongue down her chest.
“I’m sure you are,” she murmured. Her breasts tightened and sensation cascaded over her.
“No, he isn’t.” Mike nibbled her ear lobe. “He’s a terrible singer. That never stops him, though.”
“Sssh,” Carlos said, nuzzling the inner curve of one breast, making her breath catch in her throat. “This is not the time to discuss my vocal abilities.” Her nipples tingled in anticipation of his touch, and she lifted heavy arms to slide her fingers into his short hair. “This is about Jules.”
“Oh.” That was so nice. So, so nice.
Between the two of them, every nerve ending in her body buzzed, Mike’s fingers playing with the edge of her panties, Carlos rubbing his beard against the skin between her breasts. She let her fingers slide through the roughness of Carlos’s short hair. He nibbled at the upper curves of her breasts above the edge of her bra and she arched her back in response. Mike lifted a hand to cup her chin, pulling her head back even farther so he could kiss her mouth, deeply, hungrily. She moaned.
So much sensation, everywhere, surrounding her, consuming her with almost unbearable sweetness, pressure and need building low inside her. Her knees were weakening again.
Carlos reached around behind her to unfasten her bra, releasing her swelling breasts from the cups. She dropped her arms to let it slide off, still leaning back into Mike’s embrace, her nipples tightening even more at the air brushing over them. “Oh, Jules,” Carlos whispered, cupping her breasts, rubbing his thumbs over her nipples. “You’re so beautiful.”
She couldn’t respond, blood pulsing hotly though her veins, her head spinning from it all. His gentle touches on her nipples, brushing his palms across them, had pleasure rippling through her, nipples so tight and aching she couldn’t stand it. She drifted in an erotic haze of mindless sensation. Her entire body quivered and she made a needy little sound into Mike’s mouth.

Mountain Charm Blog Tour

Mountain Charm by Sydney Logan

“True love and sweet whispers, till death do us part;
Send someone to love my Appalachian heart.”

At the age of thirteen, Angelina Clark followed in the footsteps of her ancestors by casting an Appalachian love spell, which promised she would blossom into a beautiful and gifted woman who would find her true love. A young Angelina had been thrilled to participate in the sacred ritual, but through the years, her father’s untimely death and her mother’s failing health have shaken Angelina’s magical faith to its core. As her twenty-first birthday approaches, she refuses to practice her supernatural gifts and no longer believes in the love charm.
That is, until Dylan Thomas arrives on her front porch.

Dylan, a Nashville writer, travels to the mountain town of Maple Ridge to unearth the family’s supernatural secrets. While her clairvoyant mother is convinced that Dylan is her daughter’s soul mate, Angelina refuses to see the nosy reporter as anything more than a nuisance.
Despite their constant bickering, sparks fly.

Dylan admits he feels strangely drawn to Angelina and is in no hurry to leave Maple Ridge or publish his magazine article. Fearful that his emotions are being influenced by the spell, a stubborn Angelina struggles to fight her own budding attraction to the reporter.

The two inevitably grow closer just as her mother’s health begins to deteriorate, and Angelina is faced with the possibility of selling the family’s music shop to pay the mounting medical expenses. Desperate to help the woman he loves, Dylan explores his own family tree and finds support from an unlikely source. Can he finally prove his love is real—spell or no spell?

A story filled with love, friendship, family, and just a hint of Appalachian magic, Mountain Charm will leave you spellbound.

There is one thing I have learned that Sydney Logan knows how to deliver perfectly....  a sweet, captivating love story that will leave you feeling satisfied but ultimately craving more.

I LOVED Lessons Learned so when I saw that Sydney had another book coming out I was more than excited because I adore her characters and let me tell you that Angelina and Dylan are two characters that are more than easy to adore... and don't even get me started on the secondary characters ;)  The story is more than believable and it's all about these two characters who were obviously supposed to meet... spell or not.

Although I will admit Angelina got on my nerves a few times because I wanted her to just give in... BUT I did understand where she was coming from.  For a woman who had been through as much as she had at such a young age... she really was quite amazing.  Then there is Dylan... and let me just say that even though he's not a smooth taking bad boy he still managed to make his way on my book boyfriend list!

I love these stories that remind us of what it's like for the everyday average person to fall in love.  It's refreshing and to me (especially if I happen to be mad at the hubby) they remind me of how special love really is.

I'm not sure why angst is such a high seller these days... I personally have enough drama in my own life and don't really want to spend my time reading a book where I'm reading nothing but drama/angst.  I mean really?  How can anyone go through that much and still manage to find the amount of forgiveness they all seem to have?  I'm certainly not that nice and I'd like to think of myself as a pretty nice person.

Mountain Charm is definitely one I recommend checking out.  It's a light and easy read that will more than satisfy any craving for a sweet love story!

Sydney Logan is an Amazon bestselling author and holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. Lessons Learned, she made the transition from bookworm to author. Sydney has a very unhealthy obsession with music, and her iPod is filled with everything from Johnny Cash to Eminem. She is also the author of two short stories: “Mistletoe Magic,” available exclusively on Amazon Kindle, and “Stupid Cupid,” which is featured in the Romantic Interludescompilation. When she isn't reading or writing, she enjoys playing piano and relaxing on her front porch at her home in East Tennessee with her wonderful husband and their very spoiled cat.
With the 2012 release of her first novel,
Her second novel, Mountain Charm, is slated for a summer 2013 release.

I asked Sydney what HER most memorable scene was... whether it was to write or even when she went back and did her read through... so not only did she pick her scene but y'all are getting a little excerpt as well ;)

Check it out:

Clearly she’d had a rough day. Having a flat tire in the middle of a storm would stress out anyone. Giving her a neck massage would be the gentlemanly thing to do.

Right?

“I give kickass massages,” he said as he stepped closer.  Cash jumped off the couch and trotted off toward the kitchen. Dylan took it as a sign of male solidarity. Thank God the dog liked him.

“I bet you do.” Angelina smirked, but he couldn’t help but notice the flush of her cheeks and the way it spread across her neck.

“I’m serious. Sit up.”

Dylan sat down on the couch, and she sighed before turning around. He brushed her hair aside and placed his hands on her shoulders, kneading them softly. Angelina’s groan vibrated through him, and he closed his eyes, willing his body to calm down.

“That feels so good.”

Not helping.

Dylan chuckled. “Told you so.”

“Shut up,” she mumbled.

The storm raged outside, but it was easy to ignore as his hands became acquainted with her body. His fingers drifted along her spine, slowly loosening her tired muscles.

Dylan moved closer, letting his chest brush against her back.

“Better?” His warm breath tickled her ear, and he smiled when she trembled beneath his touch.

“Yes.”

He allowed his fingers to drift along her skin. Angelina’s breath hitched when he slipped his hand beneath her sweatshirt, letting it rest briefly on the small of her back. Her skin was so soft. And this was just a tiny bit of flesh on her back.

He didn’t dare imagine the rest of her.

“Cold?” Dylan’s voice was a throaty whisper against her ear.  He let his fingers ghost up her spine once again, stalling when he reached the nape of her neck. He lingered there, loving the feel of her skin and wisps of her hair against his fingertips.

“Angelina—”

Suddenly the room was flooded with light.

Dylan blinked rapidly, as if he were coming out of a trance.

They both let out shaky breaths as Angelina jumped to her feet.  She walked toward the fireplace and extinguished the candles before turning around again.

She looked as confused as he felt.

Dylan slowly rose from the couch. She took a step closer until the two of them were merely inches apart. He lifted his hand, cupping her cheek before letting his fingers slide down to her neck. Her pulse was pounding, and he wondered if his was just as frantic.

“Storm’s gone,” Angelina whispered.

He knew it was her lame attempt to laugh off whatever had just taken place between the two of them. But Dylan knew, without a doubt, the storm was far from over.

Excerpt:

Tension lines Peter’s neck and shoulders. His jaw shifts from side to side, like the conversation he just had pissed him off. His eyes flick up from the floor and meet mine. “My brother’s an asshole.”
I smile at him. “So is mine.”
Peter watches me for a moment and sighs. He runs his hands through his hair and stretches. The anger that was there washes away, but it’s not totally gone. “I need to tell you something.” The way he says it makes my stomach dip. The tone, and the way he looks away from me, sends a shiver down my spine.
Peter takes my hands and pulls me over to the couch. At first we’re seated next to each other and he’s holding my hand, but it’s like he can’t sit still. Peter is up and on his feet a few moments later, pacing. Every few seconds he tries to tell me something, but can’t choose the right words.
Peter makes an aggravated sound in the back of his throat. When he turns and looks at me, I know there’s something wrong. His dark brows lift and bunch together as his lips part. He stares at me for a moment, and then manages, “I didn’t want to bring this up, not now, but you need to know something about me.” He swallows hard and looks away.
I push off the couch and walk over to him. “You can tell me anything.” When I touch his arm, Peter jumps. It makes me nervous. Why is he acting this way? I grin at him. “You’re not the one who put the squirrel outside the bathroom window, are you?”
Peter snorts a surprised laugh and looks over at me. He takes me in his arms and pulls me to his chest. It feels so good, so safe.
He kisses the top of my head and says, “Do you know anything about the Ferro family?”
