Blog Tour: Rock With Me

Front Man Leo Nash from the world-famous rock band, Nash, is the last person on earth Samantha Williams would trust. She's already learned about loving a celebrity the hard way and isn't signing up for another lesson.

Every time Sam gives Leo attitude, he wants to knock that chip off her fragile little shoulder. What the hell did he ever do to her, anyway? He's not used to women treating him like he's poisonous, and he isn't about to let her run away every time he gets close. He's had enough of people running away to last him a lifetime...when this one runs, he gives chase. But, catching Sam isn't as hard as he thought.

The sexual attraction between them is so thick, Sam can practically hold it in her hand. There's no way she can deny herself the promise of pleasure being with Leo would provide. But, pleasure always comes with pain and when secrets are revealed and trust is challenged, who will run and who will chase?

First of all let me give a big huge thanks to the Awesome Kristen Proby for agreeing to do this exclusive bonus scene for Lori's Book Blog!  I seriously just love her to pieces and I want to force her to give me Caleb's story like now because I already miss Leo and his seriously lickable stars!

So for those of you who have finished Rock With Me... I'm sure you remember the struggles these two faced just to be together and then what Sam told Leo in the epilogue?  Well this little bonus scene is about six months past the epilogue.  It's their first night in their new home.

Enjoy....

I unpack the last item from the last box, set the shoebox of gorgeous Choo shoes on their rack and sit back on my heels with a happy sigh. Levine is curled up in a ball beside me, happily snoring in his new home.
We are home.
It’s been six long months of architects and plans and Leo screaming at the construction crew to work faster, not to mention more family drama that our family has ever seen, but here we are, safely on the other side and settling into our house on the cliffs over looking the Sound.
I never want to leave.
“Here you are.” Leo saunters into the closet, his gray eyes happy and lips turned up in a smile.
“I’m never leaving this closet,” I reply.
“In that case,” he sinks to the floor beside me, leans his back against the island that sits in the middle of the room that houses my underwear and bras, and pulls me into his lap. “I’ll just have to give you this here.”
“What is it?” I ask.
He doesn’t answer; he just kisses me deeply, pushes his fingers through my hair, and then rubs his nose over mine with a deep sigh.
“I love this closet,” I whisper against his mouth. “Thank you for building it for me.”
“You’re welcome.”
“Did you finish unpacking the kitchen?” I ask and trace the tattoos on his fingers.
“Yep, we’re all done.” He sighs and kisses my forehead. “Thank God. I’ve been ready to have you here, in our home, for months.”
“I know,” I smile and turn my face into his chest and pull in a deep breath, enjoying his clean scent. “We made it.”
He tips my chin back with his finger and thumb so he can look me in the eye. “Did you think we wouldn’t?”
“No,” I shake my head and pull my fingers down his cheek. “What did you want to give me?”
“Everything you want,” he immediately responds and I grin widely.
“I have everything I want, right here.”
“That’s sweet,” he murmurs and I can’t help but have fun with him a little.
“It is,” I nod and look around the closet filled with colorful fabrics, leathers and jewelry. “Every thing in here is fantastic.”
His eyes narrow, but he’s not fooling me. He thinks I’m funny.
“Is that so?” he asks, his voice deceptively quiet.
“Mmm,” I confirm with a nod, but then stop as though I’m reconsidering. “Well, there’s Levine too.”
“Of course, Levine too.” Leo laughs and shakes his head. “What am I going to do with you, sunshine?”
“Love me,” I whisper and kiss his chin.
“I do love you.” His face sobers and he closes his eyes for a heartbeat before finding mine again.
“What’s wrong?” I ask and cup his face in my hands.
“Absolutely nothing.” His voice is raspy and full of emotion, and I’m completely thrown.
Something has him all in knots.
“Talk to me,” I whisper.
“I can’t tell you what it means to me that we’re here.” He swallows and pins me in his gaze. “I want to give you something.”
Oh, fuck me, he’s going to propose.
He must sense my horror because he laughs and mutters, “No, I’m not proposing, sunshine.”
“Okay.” I sigh in relief but my guard goes back up when he pauses again, looking so uncertain. “You’re freaking me out, Nash. Spill it.”
“Today is a new beginning for us. Not that we need it, because we’ve been doing great so far, but it feels like this makes everything official.”
I nod, encouraging him to continue.
“I never had a home like this, Sam. Not since my folks passed. This, you, is all I ever wanted.”
I feel tears threaten as he continues.
“My parents had this, and I knew even when I was small that they were crazy about each other. My dad gave my mom this,” he pulls a small white box with a red ribbon out of his pocket and holds it up for me, “when I was pretty young.”
“You went through their things,” I whisper.
“Yeah. Open it.”
Inside is a silver chain bracelet with small sun charms hanging from it. “Did he call her sunshine?” I whisper.
“No, but she loved this bracelet. She wore it almost every day, and I think it’s appropriate that you have it.”
My eyes turn up to his and his smiles softly. “Thank you, so much.”
“My pleasure. Welcome home, sunshine.” He tips his head down and brushes his lips lightly across mine, and then settles in for long, demanding kisses. My breasts grow heavy and I feel him harden against my hip as I push my fingers into his hair and hold him tightly against me.
He suddenly stands, with me in his arms and strides out of the closet and into our spacious master bedroom.
“Enough of the mushy shit,” he growls and lays me down on the soft down comforter. “It’s time to christen this bed.”
“Good plan.” I grin.

Oh. My. God.  I LOVE it!  Leo is one man that can make my eyes tear up, my heart race, and my mind fill with dirty thoughts all at the same time.  Knowing what we know about Leo and Sam this present, the way he gives it to her, and the meaning behind it - ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!!  I'm going to miss getting to spend one on one time with these too, but knowing they both finally got that happily ever after neither of them thought they'd get is priceless!

Big huge gigantic hugs and maybe even a little smoochie to the beautiful Kristen Proby for this awesome scene.  I've said it before and I'll say it again... I love this woman!!!

Release Day Launch: Rock With Me (With Me in Seattle #4) Review

Front Man Leo Nash from the world-famous rock band, Nash, is the last person on earth Samantha Williams would trust. She's already learned about loving a celebrity the hard way and isn't signing up for another lesson.

Every time Sam gives Leo attitude, he wants to knock that chip off her fragile little shoulder. What the hell did he ever do to her, anyway? He's had enough of people running away to last him a lifetime...when this one runs, he gives chase. But, catching Sam isn't as hard as he thought.

The sexual attraction between them is so thick, Sam can practically hold it in her hand. There's no way she can deny herself the promise of pleasure being with Leo would provide. But, pleasure always comes with pain and when secrets are revealed and trust is challenged, who will run and who will chase?

***WARNING: This book contains mature content and sexual situations.***

Well KP lovers.... She has done it again.  Only this time she's taken it even further and has delivered us one heck of a loveable, intense, damaged, sexy as sin Rock Star and a strong willed, sarcastic, beautifully loyal, and compassionate heroine.  And she even managed to pull this one off AFTER she gave us the loveable Will Montgomery!

Sam Williams is hands down one of the most complicated heroines Kristen has written.  She's complicated in that way that you think there is no way that your going to love her... especially after what she put Natalie through in Come Away With Me.  But then you get inside her head and you get to know the woman she is and the struggles shes faced and is currently facing.  You get to understand her and why she acts the way she does and it makes everything that happened in Come Away With Me with Natalie make complete sense.  Sam is fiercely loyal when it comes to her family.  She loves them more than anything.  And in all reality she has a heart of gold!  But the best part about Sam... a part that I really wasn't expecting... was she is down right hilarious!

Then there's Leo... and his stars.  And yes book lovers... when it comes to Leo Nash - it is ALL about those sexy stars that are on the sexiest part of the male body!  Leo is not your typical Rock Star.  He's a little bit damaged and a lot sweet.  He's over protective of those he loves and he too has a heart of gold.

These two characters have a lot of over come when it comes to establishing a relationship... but when they come - Umm... together - WOW!  Not only is it hot... but it's intense because they both have walls they need to break down for the other.  Both Sam and Leo tell each other just enough that you know what happened in their past but not enough that it overshadows the book which is another thing I love about Kristen's books - no matter what the characters have been through or are currently going through it's still all about their relationship and falling in love.

There is so much to fall in love with when it comes to these two but there is one thing that makes Samantha stand out more than any other heroine.... it's something we rarely (if ever) see in books but especially in Rock Star books!  She's got a level of confidence that shines.  She doesn't let the fans and/or groupies offend her - and I seriously loved that.  It seems like every rock star book that comes out anymore has some female fan/groupie causing problems for the H/h and even though I understood it because it's what we all like to believe is the norm...  so, like I said it was refreshing - Thank You Kristen Proby!!!

I've made it quite clear how much I adore Kristen Proby... I feel about her and her books as I feel about Kristen Ashley.  It's love - true love!

Even if you haven't checked out Kristen's other With Me in Seattle books (which if you haven't then you should seriously consider because you're missing some seriously hot men and some adorable women) then don't shy away from Rock With Me.  It is, in my opinion, Kristen's best work yet!

My Review of Play With Me: http://lorisbookblog.blogspot.com/2013/02/play-with-me-with-me-in-seattle-3-review.html

Will Montgomery is a successful professional football player and seemingly has it all. He’s not used to being told no, and certainly doesn’t take no for an answer. So when he turns his charms on his sister’s sexy rocker-chick friend Meg, he’s not only turned down, but met with open hostility, piquing his curiosity and libido. He’s determined to show her that he’s not the arrogant jock she thinks he is, and to get her into his bed.

Megan McBride is not impressed with Will Montgomery, his fat contract, fancy car, or his arrogant public persona. She doesn’t have time for a relationship, and if she’s learned anything in life, it’s that loving means losing, so she guards her heart ferociously. But she can’t deny the overwhelming attraction to the sexy, tattooed athlete, and when Will starts breaking down her defenses and grabs hold of her heart, will she be able to admit her feelings for him, or will her troubled past cause her to lose the first man she’s ever truly loved?

Kristen Proby has made a living as a massage therapist, a medical biller, a registrar in an Emergency Room, and a professional photographer. But what feeds her soul is writing romantic, erotic love stories about strong women who don’t necessarily need saving, and gorgeous, alpha-type men who want to save them anyway.

Kristen lives in the amazing Pacific Northwest where, conveniently, her muse lives too.

Excerpt:
“Okay, what are we drinking to this time?” I ask and look around the
table at my friends and their men. All of the parents left the party a
few hours ago, and all that’s left are Jules and Nate, Natalie and
Luke, Stacy and Isaac, Brynna, Matt, Caleb and Will. All of the other
guests have gone home, leaving the eleven of us to drink shots and
laugh and catch up.
I haven’t had this much fun in a long time.
If I drink this next shot, I just might forget the escapade in the
bathroom with Will.
Maybe.
Probably not.
Speaking of Will, he keeps watching me, sipping a beer, quiet. But I
ignore him and lift another shot of tequila in the air. So far, we’ve
toasted babies, rock and roll, tattoos, shopping, and shopping again.
“Here’s to orgasms, and the three I’m going to have tonight!” Natalie
exclaims, earning fits of giggles from the rest of us girls while the
boys – all except for Luke – grumble about TMI.
“To orgasms!” we all concur and slam the shot.
I stopped using the training wheels of lime and salt three shots ago.
I glance back over at Will, who’s now in a deep conversation with his
brother Caleb, and despite my clearly drunk state, my thighs clench
just at the sight of him. Geez. He’s all broad shoulders and muscles
and blue eyes and his shaggy dark blonde hair is all messy from his
fingers, and mine, and I want to give it a good tug.
I should have done him in the bathroom.
Stop it! That’s just drunk and horny Meg talking.
“So, Meg,” Jules slurs as she leans over toward me and plops her arm
around my shoulders. “Why are you still single, my beautiful friend?”
“Because my job is my relationship, my equally as beautiful friend.”
“That sucks.”
“It’s fine.” I wave her off and take a sip of my fifth margarita.
Damn, I really should have eaten more at dinner.
“Does your job give you orgasms?” Natalie asks as she crawls into Luke’s lap.
“No,” I giggle.
“Then it’s not fine,” she responds smugly.
No, it’s not fine, but it is what it is. I need to change this subject.
“You should sing something,” Jules claps her hands and bounces in her seat.
“You are all starting to kill this really great buzz I’ve got going on.”
“Sing!” Jules demands.
“I can barely talk. No singing. I haven’t sung in a long time anyway.”
“Okay, then let’s dance.” Jules stands, and then wobbles. Nate pulls
her in his lap, laughing down at her.
“I think it’s time I take you up to the room, baby.” She cups his face
in her hand and smiles up at him.
“Okay. Can I have some orgasms?”
“I think I can make that happen,” he replies with a smirk.
“No fair!” Natalie exclaims. “I want orgasms!”
Dear God, did we always talk about orgasms when we were drunk in college?
“Then let’s go up to our room too, I’ll give you those orgasms.” Luke
kisses Nat’s cheek and stands with her cradled in his arms.
Jesus, Luke Williams is in the same room with me, talking about orgasms.
This is crazy.
“I’m out too.” I slam one last shot, grab for my purse and stand. The
room spins a bit, but I brace myself on the back of a chair and take a
deep breath.
“You’re not driving are you?” Nate asks.
“I’ll call a cab.”
“I’ll take you home.” Will stands and is suddenly at my side, gripping my elbow.
“You drank too,” I remind him.
“I had one beer. I’m fine.”
Oh.
“Really?”
“I’m in the middle of a season, Meg, I can’t drink much.”
“What kind of season?” I ask as the room spins slowly around me. I’m
vaguely aware of snickering happening around me but I’m too drunk to
kick anyone’s ass.
“Football,” he says gently and brushes my hair behind my ear.
“You want to play football?” I’m so confused. “I’m too drunk to play football.”
Will laughs and shakes his head. “No, sweetheart, I will play football
on Sunday. With my team. Remember?”
“Oh, yeah. You’re a football star.” I wave him off and turn toward my
friends. “He’s a big time football player. Did you know?”
Natalie giggles at me. “Meg, you’re funny. I’m glad you’re hanging out
with us again.”
“Dude, you got her?” Caleb asks.
“Yeah, I got her,” Will confirms.
“Who you got?” I ask.
“You, drunk girl. Come on.” He turns to lead me toward the exit, and I
start to follow him, but for some reason my feet don’t work very well.
“Um, Will?”
“Yeah?”
“I lost my feet.”
“What?” he laughs and pinches the bridge of his nose.
“I can’t find my feet.”
Why is everyone laughing at me? This is serious!
“Okay, I’ve got you.” He lifts me effortlessly into his arms and
cradles me against his chest.
“You don’t have to carry me.”
“If I want to get you in the car and take you home, I think I do.”
“I thought you wanted to play football.” I yawn and lean my head
against his shoulder. Hmm… he still smells good.
“Not tonight.”
“I think I’m drunk.”
“What was your first clue?” he chuckles.
“Don’t make me hurt you, Mungumry.”
“Yeah, you scare me.”
***
“What kind of car is this?” I ask.
“It’s a Shelby.”
“Is Shelby your girlfriend?” I ask, mortified. Holy shit! I made out
with a guy who has a girlfriend!
“No, this car is a Shelby Mustang, Megan.”
“Oh. Then who is your girlfriend?”
“I don’t have a girlfriend.”
“Why not?”
“No time.” He shrugs. “No one has interested me, until very recently.”
He mutters that last part, and before I can ask him what he means by
that, he pulls up to my townhouse.
“Thanks for the ride.”
“You’re welcome. Stay there.”
I don’t think I could get out of this car if I wanted to. It sits
really low to the ground, but it’s nice. The seat is comfortable.
Suddenly the passenger door is open and Will is leaning inside,
pulling me out of the car. He gets me to stand, and then lifts me
again.
“I could probably walk now.”
“I doubt it. Just don’t throw up on me, please.”
Well, I didn’t feel like throwing up until he said something. Now my
stomach is rolling and I have that icky feeling in the back of my
throat.
Fuck!
“Where are your keys?” he asks.
“Handbag.”
“Do you want me to get them?”
“Yes.” Just breathe. Just breathe and you won’t throw up.
“Okay, I’m going to stand you by the door. Just lean on the wall for a second.”
Is he speaking English? I don’t understand him, all I can concentrate
on is not throwing up. He shuffles through my bag and produces my
keys.
“This one.” I point to the house key and he unlocks the door and
scoops me up again, carrying me inside.
“You don’t have an alarm system?” he asks with a frown.
“No.”
“Why not?” he demands.
“Too expensive. Fuck, put me down.”
He lowers me to the floor and as soon as my feet hit the ground I
sprint to the bathroom, and hurl about two bottles of tequila into the
toilet.
It never tastes as good coming up as it did going down.
Oh, sweet Jesus, make it stop. My stomach convulses and shudders, and
I feel a sweat break out on my skin.
Suddenly my hair is scooped back off my face and a cold cloth is
pressed to the back of my neck.
Fuck, I forgot he was here. How mortifying.
“You can go,” I mumble and rest my forehead on my arm, still cradling
the toilet.
“I’ll stay.” His voice is firm and maybe a little grim.
“I’m okay, Will.”
“I’m not leaving you like this, so shut it.” He gently lifts my head
and presses another cold cloth to my forehead, making me moan in
delight.
“That feels good.”
“I know. Are you done throwing up?”
“I think so.”
“Okay, let’s get you in bed.”
“Hey!” My head jerks up and I pin him with a glare. “You’re not
getting me into bed.”
“Yeah, I am. Don’t worry, sweetheart, no hanky panky.” He grins and I
groan as another wave of nausea hits. I’m suddenly bone-tired.
“Okay.” I stand and he wraps an arm awkwardly around my waist. He’s
just too tall for his own good. “I’m fine, Will. The worst is over.
You can go.”
He glares down at me and wipes my face with the cool cloth. “I’ll make
sure you’re asleep before I leave.”
“Why? I haven’t exactly been nice to you.”
“Because I’m not an asshole, and the sooner you realize that, the better.”
I frown at him, not understanding him at all. He opens the drawers in
my dresser, shuffling through clothes and socks, then turns to me with
a scowl.
“Where are your pajamas?”
“I don’t wear pajamas.”
“So what do you wear to bed?” he asks and plants his hands on his hips.
“Nothing.”
He closes his eyes and exhales deeply, then searches through my
drawers again until he finds an old t-shirt and throws it at me.
“Here, put this on.”
“Why?”
“Because I’m climbing in that bed with you, and you can’t be naked or
I will be an asshole.” He looks almost angry.
“Turn around,” I murmur. When he’s facing the other direction, I
quickly unzip and step out of my dress and pull the t-shirt over my
head. I’m not wearing panties, but the t-shirt is long enough that you
can’t see so I don’t care. “I don’t think I can take my sandals off
without falling over.”
Will turns to me and his eyes soften. “You look so young right now.”
“I’m sure I look like shit, but okay. Sandals?”
“Sit.” He kneels before me and takes my shoes off, and then tucks me
into the bed. He unbuttons his shirt, lets it fall off his shoulders
and drapes it on my desk chair. Holy muscled body, Batman.
“Your place is nice,” he mutters.
“Hmm.” I close my eyes to block out the delicious image of a
mostly-naked Will. I hear the zipper of his pants and the rustling of
him stepping out of them, and then the bed dips as he crawls in beside
me. He turns me away from him, and pulls my back against his front.
“Sleep.”
“Why are you still here?” I ask sleepily. I should demand that he go,
but damn if this doesn’t feel good.
“I don’t know,” he whispers.
