Okay so first things first... BIG Thank you to Lindsay for sending me an ARC of Untraceable... you're awesome girl and I honestly thank you for your kind words :)

** Spoiler alert -  If you have not read Untouchable or Unforgivable yet then reading this review will give away numerous spoilers to both! **


Untraceable pretty much leaves off where Unforgivable ended.  Micah and Leese have managed to work things out and have gone back home to Florida to  live as the family they were meant to be.  Leese has completely forgiven Micah for what happened in Colorado... I know I got a lot of email's from some of you fellow book lovers and I have to say that Yes, I do agree, she forgave him for something that should have been unforgivable... but I actually talked to Lindsay about that and she made a lot of sense when she said

 "She was ultimate good verses Micah's ultimate bad" 

when put that way it makes sense on why she forgave him.  Especially when you think about her POV and all she thought about when it came to what happened and then what happened as a result.  So they're back and home and trying to build a life for themselves and their baby.

Micah has some... we'll call them issues... to work through.  He's basically at a low point in his life, he's still trying to become the man he was meant to be and is trying to come to terms with how to seek salvation.  Leese is there helping him along the way.  When he finally gets to the point where he feels happy, content, and ready to completely forget about his past in order to move on into the happy future he deserves with his family.... when something happens... something HUGE... something I am so not telling you about.

So I've got to be careful from here on with my words because if I slip even once then I'm going to end up giving something away... and even though I actually prefer spoilers I'm going to be my usual mean self and keep them to myself because I had none when it came to this one... I mean I actually emailed Lindsay at one point because I had no one else to complain to.. and you want to know what she told me?

" Just keep reading....that's all I'm gonna say."

if she wasn't channeling one of my girls with that line then I don't know what, but I actually needed to hear that.  Yes it is her book and of course she wants me to keep reading but I have to say that I was honestly glad I did.  Here is why I needed to email her... I was mad, I mean absolutely ready to punch him in the face MAD at Micah.  He made me mad at one point because... well shoot, I can't say... but he made me mad, and then I thought okay so he really didn't get a choice so if I must I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.... and then he not only does it again but he adds a little something to it and seriously I wanted to scream at him.  I was so mad that I felt horrible for Leese and actually thought... "Why didn't she...." oops, sorry, I almost gave something away there!  Obviously I was pretty mad at him lol.  Then, he had an opportunity to do something that would have pleased me to no end, and actually saved him some trouble, but he didn't do it... I get why... after I read a little more of the book but that doesn't mean that I don't wish he would have taken the chance to take care of ... ummm... that... problem, while he had the chance.

There are a lot of surprises in this book... a lot of questions you may have had will be answered, and you actually get the chance to see that even though he was bad turned mostly good, Micah still has to face the world as a human being... he's got to take responsibility for something that maybe could have been avoided but maybe couldn't have in a way that a man shouldn't have to.. but he does it.  He owns up to it and takes the back lash like a true man.

** Attention Ryan lovers ** I have to say I wish I would have seen a little more Ryan in this book, I love him... I really do!  BUT there is something that happens in the epilogue with Ryan and when I read it I honestly put my arms in the air and squealed "YAYYY!!!" and then I read a little more and thought "Well so much for those hopeful thoughts" but I was still happy because it's ultimately what he wanted.... but I still couldn't help that "Yay" and then think "hmm, I wonder if...." Totally just finished that thought in my head

Untraceable (Untouchable) by Lindsay Delagair is a wonderful addition to the Untouchable Series.  I really enjoyed these books, I enjoy Lindsay's writing style and where she goes with stories.  She's not afraid to take chances and she creates characters that seem to balance each other out extremely well.  I look forward to the release of her next book.

Okay so just a fair warning my girls and their awesome opinions will be joining me... again... in this review.  I've got a few texts and some Facebook comments that, well... I just have to share.  Now it may come off as kind of bitchy and even a tad crass.... but quite frankly they're so flipping funny and honest that I have to share them with you.

So... at the end of Untouchable, Micah comes back for Leese and pops the question.  Super sweet... right?  Well.... as much as I LOVE super sweet I can't help but feel like for the first 21% of Unforgivable Micah was.... broke.... he lost his edge.  Here is conversation number 1 via Facebook...

Sam: I loved serial killer Micah! I want to eat him with a spoon.

Jenny: I loved serial killer hard ass Micah as well.  Her and her heavy duty hymen ruined him.

Lori: He was ruined before that.  He went from hot as shit badass to being lead around by his dick.

Sam: Leese needs to be taken down a peg.  She needs a hemorrhoid or a wart on her super pussy or SOMETHING.  Something that makes her less attractive.  A personality flaw, gah.

Lori: To me she isn't all that attractive.  She's a size zero for Christ sakes... eww that's just skin and bones.

Sam: Right Lori and then Sam comes along with her full figured naughty librarian self and he goes "oh snap" and naughty Sam says "come to mama serial killer boy, let me show you some..... books" "I can, um, read to you all day long"

Lori:  Then naughty catholic school girl Lori, with all her curves comes out to "teach" him what naughty religious girls do...umm... during Sunday school.

Sam:  Right and then naughty Sam and naughty Lori give naughty Micah a spanking for being such a bad boy.

Jenny: then Lady Jennifer comes along with her bosom's spilling over her corsets and has Micah screaming OH GOD even though i don't have a heavy duty hymen

Lori:  OH yes, and then give him the happily ever after he deserves for being such a hot as fuck badass

Sam:  That review will bring all the bad asses to our yard.

Lori:  We could teach them but we'd have to charge

Sam:  I like reviewing with you!

Lori:  Me too ♥

So yes we kind of got a bit carried away there... But we were on a roll and having fun so there.... Now still on the first 21% on the book here we have an entire conversation based on Leese's visit to the OBGYN's office where we learn all about her choice in birth control which makes me wonder how in the world an 18 year old knows so much about the Rhythm Method... I sure as hell knew nothing about it until my husband and I were trying to get pregnant and I happened to read about it.... But then I told myself... "Okay Lori, shut it... you've got to remember that Leese isn't your average teenager, she's super smart, extremely mature, and seems to have an old soul with a need for speed"  And then I got over it... BUT, then came the part about... ummm... well, breaking her seal.  Most girls by 18 have already had their seals broken for whatever reason but Leese... well, her's was kind of a special Hymen?  LOL, I don't even know how to word that but we'll go with it.  Here is conversation number 2 via texts....

Lori: Of course she's a double virgin... can she be any closer to the definition of every mans dream?

Sam: Hahahahaha! Yep, she has a super vagussy

Lori: Good Lord.... well he sure is a lucky guy getting to penetrate fort knox and all that shit... lol

Sam: I know right?

Lori: What's the deal with the cramps?  Who gets cramps after an orgasm?  There's her flaw, her body is stupid...

Sam: Hahahaha! Maybe she got cramps because he had to use a jackhammer to penetrate her hymen.

Lori: LMAO... maybe so but if that's the case I'm glad I wasn't cursed.. I mean blessed with a super duty hymen.

So again... we kind of got carried away but once we get started we just can't seem to stop.  I mean she is a tad too perfect but then again I have to wonder... was she made this perfect because of what life has thrown her way so far... and then what still has yet to come?  Or... will something happen in book three where we'll see a glimpse of the Leese who isn't so wonderful and doesn't come off as a martyr or a victim?  Or... will she do something that will just piss us all off to the point where we realize that she really is just another fictional human and then love her because she made a mistake?  I can't help but wonder these things.

Now before you all start thinking that my girls and I didn't like the book... STOP, because we did... quite frankly once you get past the first 21% it's actually really good... not that the first 21% isn't because it is.. it's just that I found myself rolling my eyes a few times and wondering when the action was going to come... and then when it did I couldn't put it down.

There is so much I want to say about the rest of the book... I want to share my feelings for a few characters, I want to tell you about the decisions that were made and how they made me feel but I can't because one word and the whole book will be given away.  But I will give you conversation number 3 via Facebook...

Sam:  The hottest part of the book was when Ryan beat the crap out of Micah. He so deserved it and it redeemed Ryan in my eyes.

Lori: Oh, I fell for Ryan in this book... actually to the point where I wish she would have gone for it with him.

So there you go.... But I do have to warn you at the end of this book there is something bad that happens.  I want to give you an actual warning on it because I kind of wish I would have been better prepared for it but then again if I do, I'll end up ruining the book for you.. but I will tell you this... the bad thing that happens... is my guess on what the title means!

Unforgivable (Untouchable) by Lindsay Delagair is a good read... a little slow at the beginning but definitely faced paced enough that it kept my nose glued to Luke.. except when I was busy texting with Sam.  It took me a few days to gather my thoughts on this book for a few different reasons which are not discussed in this post but when I received and email from Lindsay and she gave me a little teaser about a certain character that I really do like and want to see him redeem himself I became anxious for book three to come out... especially now that my curiosity is through the roof.

First of all I need to start off giving my girls Sam and Jenny big shout outs for recommending this book to me.... Well I guess technically they didn't actually recommend it as much as I saw them talking about it and decided to butt my booty into the conversation and download one heck of a great book!

Annalisa or as she is called in the book Leese is an absolutely beautiful character.  She's extremely smart for a 17 year old, she's loving, loyal, and very in touch with her relationship with God.  Normally I'm a little turned off by all of the references to God and NOT because I'm not religious because I am... in my own way... but quite frankly I get enough of the religious speak between my Mom and the many different people that knock on my door... that I seem to be too nice to actually shut the door in their face... and end up listening to them tell me all about how I should switch to their religion... to be honest, it's quite exhausting.... So as I said she's very in tune with her relationship with God, but it's not overbearing... it's fairly subtle.. subtle enough that it didn't bother me at all.  As much as I loved Leese I also have to agree with my girls when they were talking about HOW wonderful she is...

Sam: "She is almost too perfect, I wish she would have a flaw."

Jenny:  "yeah I got that from book one! I was like - lighten the hell up!"

Maybe Leese will have a flaw in book 2?  Or maybe having no flaws is what makes up for the flaws in her man?  Sigh.... Her man!  Wow, so I really can't even tell you exactly who her man is because then I'll be giving it away... Although, it's a bit predictable and I was not surprised when I found out I still felt the shock of how Leese found out... what happened... and then how she responded...

Jenny:  "OMG Lori!!! I just found out which one, which I knew, but how it came about - holy effing hell! I actually gasped out loud! So I think I will be wanting to go straight onto book 2"

 It was pretty shocking, I honestly thought for about half a second that it was all going to be over at that point... but then it wasn't... and then it kind of slowed down... slowed down enough that I was able to put it down for a little while before... BAM... something major happened and everything just sort of started happening in like super high gear.   It kept me on the edge of my seat... literally... I mean like so on the edge of my seat that when my kids started telling me they were hungry I looked at the time and realized dinner time had passed and they should have eating 30 minutes ago.... so with Luke in my hand (Yes, I totally kept the kindle in my face) I threw together the quickest meal I could come up with that was still nutritional just so I could get back to my reading.... Yeah I know... so not getting Mom of the Year!

Once everything started happening I started to really fall in love with Leese's "man".... he was obviously struggling with his decisions and his moods seemed to change as much as I change my underwear but I couldn't help but just fall head over heals for him... because... well, when he wasn't struggling to keep the facade going, he was really sweet and made me sigh a lot... I know, I'm corny but seriously... he had that whole bad boy, life of crime, struggling with his feelings for a girl for the very first time... thing going on and I can't help but find all that endearing.

So you know how I'm always talking about asking my girls for spoilers on books that they've recommended?  Once I finished Untouchable I was struggling with what I wanted to read next so I thought I'd feel my girls out and see if they could help me make up my mind over reading Unforgivable (#2 in the Untouchable Series) or if I should start Barely Breathing by Rebecca Donovan (Which I have been anxiously waiting for... for like a year or something) by asking questions about the next book.... Yeah... well as usual I was totally shut down....

Me:  "Sammy WTF is wrong with David though.... that whole thing that happened with the drinks, is he just jealous? Please tell me he redeems himself!"

Sam:  "David is a shit, but he does get better.  And I am not telling you anymore.  So there. Read the book. :)"

See?  They totally know me... those 3 sentences and then the smiley face.... were all different comments, one right after the other.. in like rapid fire... because she so knew what I was going to ask for next.... tease.... LOL, that's okay though because I totally love my girls!  They're always there for me, whether it's to cry because my 6 year old just threw the mother of all fits or it's to cry because the book I'm reading has me feeling completely emotional and vulnerable... We may come from all over the world but quite frankly these 7 girls have  become some of the best friends a girl could ask for ♥!


Untouchable by Lindsay Delagair is definitely a book to check out and Lindsay is an author we need to watch out for... she's got talent and I see this talent taking her to amazing places.  Her writing style was consuming and left me ready for more!
