The Game Changer (The Perfect Game #2) Review

The Game Changer by J. Sterling

Jack & Cassie's story continues in the follow up to the Best Selling book, The Perfect Game.

Thrust into the spotlight, Cassie must learn how to navigate the waters of this sometimes unforgiving and cruel world. It's a lifestyle that makes you question your happiness and sanity as the past is never truly far behind.

How do you stay together when the world's trying to tear you apart?

***This Review DOES contain spoilers to BOTH The Perfect Game and The Game Changer***

I'm not going to lie... I struggled a little bit with the sequel to a book that J. Sterling executed perfectly considering I'm one of those readers who shuns any kind of cheating in books... the fact that she was able to make me see what happened in a different light and find the heart to forgive Jack for what he had done - Pure Genius!  I was extremely excited for the release of The Game Changer because I was dying to know how they would overcome what had happened in The Perfect Game.  But I have to say I was a tad disappointed... not in the writing, not in the story itself, but in Cassie.

Here's the deal.... or at least my thoughts and please feel free to correct me if you disagree because I've not been in Cassie's situation but I'm going to give my 2 cents anyway:

HE cheated... why did she appologize for bring something up?  While I will definitely admit that I LOVED the flashbacks I hated the fact that it seemed like Cassie was walking on egg shells trying to avoid conflict because she was afraid to lose him again.... that bummed me out because that is not the Cassie we all know and love from The Perfect Game.

BUT......

She comes back... the girl that I seriously could not get enough of because of her smart mouth and strong back bone... she comes back and even though she doesn't share things she really should she DOES make sure that Jack knows his place... regardless of where they are.  (Poor Cassie)

Then....

I got a little frustrated with Jack... well okay I got really frustrated with Jack.  Why in the world would he feel he has the right to get mad at her considering all she'd been through because of him... maybe I should reword that because it's not that he got mad at her it's what he said to her when she told him "I know what I want"  His response... Uh yeah - Pissed me off.  I will say that again... J. Sterling knows exactly when Jack's POV (when he's about to do something royally stupid) is needed.... had I not read that scene in his POV or at least not gotten his thoughts on how he felt about what happened between the two... I probably would have lost all hope that these two could ever make it.  BUT the writing genius that is J Sterling gave me exactly what I needed to see where this was going.  I wasn't happy with the characters decision but I have to admit the anticipation of what was to come was pretty intense.

With all of that said I have to say that J. Sterling gave all Jack and Cassie fans exactly what we all wanted by the end of this book  - Complete closure with one of the funniest yet sweetest HEA's.

3.75 hearts!

The Perfect Game Review

The Perfect Game by J. Sterling

Book description...
He's a game she never intended to play.
And she's the game changer he never knew he needed.
The Perfect Game tells the story of college juniors, Cassie Andrews & Jack Carter. When Cassie meets rising baseball hopeful Jack, she is determined to steer clear of him and his typical cocky attitude. But Jack has other things on his mind... like getting Cassie to give him the time of day.
Sometimes life gets ugly before it gets beautiful...

As you know I absolutely LOVE to review books with Sam!  We giggle... a lot when we talk about them.  So here is our review of J. Sterling's The Perfect Game scheduled to release on Friday Oct. 12, 2012....

Lori:   "So I finished The Perfect Game last night."

Sam:   "It's about time cause I've been waiting to talk to you about it."

Lori:   "Well what would you like to talk about?"

Sam:   "How freaking amazing J. is."

Lori:   "I know right?  She has grown so much as an author, I'm so proud of her."

Sam:   "Me too.  She shines in this book, she's come along way since In Dreams."

Lori:    "Right!  So I loved Cassie, you know how I normally feel about heroines but Cassie really did it for me."

Sam:   "I agree.  Cassie is a cool chick.  She's funny and sassy."

Lori:   "You're so right!  She is super cool.  Her sarcastic wit reminds me of a certain someone to the point that I actually pictured her throughout the book.  Now what did you think about Jack?"

Sam:    "Jack, Jack, Jack... there is a lot to say about Jack.  I think Jack is trouble."

Lori:   "Yes, he is.  But you know you loved him."

Sam:   "I did love him."

Lori:  "Me too.  For someone who has never had an actual relationship he was pretty good at it."

Sam:   "It was the quarters.  That was pretty damn romantical."

Lori:   "I giggled at the quarters, who is that clever?  I mean really, my hubby would never think to do something that cute."

Sam:   "No, mine either, he'd be like - You're pretty....Just get in the sack."

Lori:    *giggles* "Yep, they need Jack lessons, minus the whole... you know."

Sam:   "Right!  I don't think any guy needs that kind of lesson."

Lori:   "Ugh, I was so mad at him for that but at the same time I wasn't."

Sam:   "I can't even tell you how I feel about that."

Lori:   "Let's just skip it and pretend it never happened."

Sam:   "Okay, there's a huge river in Egypt."

Lori:   "Wait was that in the book?"

Sam:   "I love you Lori."

Lori:  "Aww, I love you too.  Are you making fun of me?"

Sam:  "Nope"

Lori:  "Okay, back to the book... I know you said you loved the secondary characters... do you think J might give them their own books?"

Sam:  "That wouldn't be a bad idea.  I like Dean, he is so cute and I love how he accepted Cassie, he called her sis."

Lori:   "I know, how cute is he?  I wouldn't mind being his love interest."

Sam:   "Okay."

Lori:  "Yay, we should email J and tell her that Lori needs to be Dean's woman if she writes his book"

Sam:   "Sounds good to me.  But if you get a boyfriend I need a boyfriend dammit.  You can't get all the action."

Lori:   "Deal... but, we're getting of topic here."

Sam:   "Don't we always?"

Lori:   "Yeah, we do. Seriously though, Jack and Cassie together?  Talk about a match made in heaven!"

Sam:   "Yep."

Lori:   "Do you want to say anything other than Yep?"

Sam:   "I'm making little biscuits.... hold on.  Okay, they were just so steamy."

Lori:   "Oookayyy... are you talking about Jack and Cassie or the biscuits?"

Sam:   "Jack and Cassie dumbass!  Sometimes it was hard to see all the pain.  It just felt real to me."

Lori:   "I know exactly what you mean.  They both went through so much not only apart but together.  To me it all strengthened their bond and solidified the fact that they are meant to be together."

Sam:   "Right!"

Lori:   "So tell me my favorite li-berri-an... how much did you love this book?"

Sam:   "I really loved it and you know exactly how picky I am when it comes to books.  I'm super proud of J... as a matter of fact I want to share a quote from TPG with you:
"Have you ever noticed how pretty and beautiful words can be?  How easy it is to say the things someone wants to hear?  How you can affect a person's entire day with just a few measly sentences?"
Lori:   "I loved that quote because it's so true.  I loved this book and have to tell you that my absolute favorite quote was:
"Anyone seen my Kitten?"
Sam:   "YES!  It's on mine too."

Lori & Sam high five each other!

Interview with Cooper and Jackson from J. Sterling's In Dreams & Chance Encounters

So I recently contacted J. Sterling... who is an amazing Author...ummm, I mean Authorball! and asked her if I could get an interview with two of her absolutely amazeballs male characters... Cooper Donovan and Jackson Parks!  I wanted this interview to be fun because well... it's always fun to see how guys are going to answer questions... especially guys who are from two amazing books... and because I want my interviews to be different... it seems that everyone asks the same questions and since I thrive on being myself... instead of the norm... I decided to just have... Fun!  These two guys had me in a fit of laughter... so enjoy!!!!

Cooper vs. Jackson interview

Who's hotter & why?
The guys are looking at each other, laughing.
Jackson: *shrugs his shoulders* Eh, that Donovan is pretty good looking for a kid.
Cooper: Kid? *laughs* What are you- a whole 3 years older than me?
Jackson: Something like that. But everyone knows that older equals manlier. And manlier equals hotter. So I win.
Cooper: Alright grandpa, you're hotter.
Lori: Really, Cooper... you're hot and all and I'd totally go all cougar for you but you saying that Jackson is old makes me feel really old
Cooper: Jackson's the one who said he was old! I just agreed with him. You should probably cut him out of this interview... you know, for making you feel so bad about your beautiful self.
Lori: Look at you trying to get rid of Jackson and totally trying to kiss my booty for making me feel old.... I’d totally kiss you all over right now for that compliment but I don’t want to upset Katherine!
Cooper: We cannot have an upset Katherine! But really, does he even need to be here? haha
Lori: *Sigh*

If you had your pick of any girl other than your own who would you pick and why?
Both guys shout out at the same time, talking over one another.
Cooper: Shut it Jackson. I'm going first! If you know anything about me at all, then you'd know that there is no possible way that I could even think about any other girl other than Katherine. Things with me and other girls... they don't tend to work out so well. And Katherine had me hooked instantly. I guess that's what happens when you share more than one lifetime together. You're connected. There is no other girl for me.
Jackson: First of all, this question is horrible. lol But really, once you've found that person you know you're meant to be with, it's almost possible to imagine your life without them in it. I'm pretty sure that had I not met Caroline on the plane that day- and for whatever reason, had our paths never crossed- i'd be fairly content just being a bachelor. That is, until Tommy came home with a mail order bride one day or something. I just seriously can't see myself with anyone else but her.
Lori: Awesome answers guys and I have to admit that this was a trap question and both of you passed with flying colors...*muttering under my breath & hoping the guys didn't hear* but I was secretly hoping you'd both say Lori... because she's amazeballs.
Jackson: Well the obvious answer is YOU, of course, Lori. But I know Caroline will read this. And I don't want her to sick Bailey on you or something. She scares me.
Cooper: Wimp.
Jackson: I got your wimp right here.
Lori: Damn, You weren’t supposed to hear that but I’ll totally take it.

Baseball or Football?
Cooper: FOOTBALL! Hands down, football. *looks at Jackson* football is manly.
Jackson: Typical. I'm a Yankee fan through and through.
Cooper: Really? The Yankees? Could a team be more bought and paid for?
Jackson: *rolls eyes* Is that the only argument anyone has? You're all just pissed that your team can't afford the players they want. Plus, how can you hate a team that has 27 championships?!? Twenty-seven!
Cooper: They bought the best team in baseball... of course they have 27 championships. They should. Watching them win is like watching your dog get excited when you're about to feed him. He knows what's coming, but he's flipping out like he's never been fed before.
Jackson: That's a stupid analogy.
Cooper: I know. It's the first thing that came to me.
Lori: Hate to say it Jackson but I have to agree with Cooper here, as a matter of fact you may have lost some cool points just for being a Yankee's fan... You want a good team to watch? Come to St. Louis and check out the Cards... best baseball town and we are #2 when it comes to winning championships, I'll even buy you a hot dog!
Jackson: You can't hate a guy for loving the team he was raised on. That's just rude. But I'll take you up on that offer.
Lori: I’ll make you wear a Cardinal’s Jersey babe... No Yankee’s gear in Busch Stadium and since you’re so adorable I’ll even buy you a beer.
Jackson: I'd never let you buy me a beer, sweetheart. I'll buy YOU one. And maybe i'll just wear a non-baseball shirt, I can't wear a Cardinals jersey and not get disowned.
Lori:  *Totally fans self.... Did Jackson Parks really just call me sweetheart?*

If you could pick anyone to play you in a movie (other than yourself) who would it be?
Matt Lanter (Liam on 90210)
Jackson: Caroline is always going on and on and on and on and on about how "dreamy" and "hot" the guy who plays Liam on 90210 is. So whoever that is. He should play me.
Cooper: I never pegged you as the 90210 type, Parks.
Jackson: I do NOT watch the show. I'd never hear the end of it. Plus, Caroline couldn't even get Alex to watch it with her, how do you think she'd get me to?
Cooper: I hear at least once a week that I look just like this guy, Joshua Bowman. I really don't see the resemblance, but what do I know?
Joshua Banter
Jackson: Do you have his picture?
*they look him up online*
Jackson: YOU DO! That's crazy! You two totally look alike! I mean, everything but the eyes.
Cooper: *squints his face* If you say so, grandpa.
Jackson: If that Liam kid won't play me in a movie, I'll take Donovan here. He can play me.
Lori: *Laughing at the guys*

What's the most embarrassing thing you've ever done?
Cooper: It was during a game. I was skating in fast for a goal and I tripped. I didn't know how to stop myself, so I slid right into the goalie, took him out and sent the actual net crashing into wall. But along the way, I didn't let go of my hockey stick- and I tripped the ref. It was a mess.
Jackson: *cracking up* How old were you?
Cooper: Maybe 10.
Jackson: And that's the most embarrassing thing you've done? When you were 10 years old?
Cooper: There was this one time, when I drove around in my Jeep without a shirt on- and these girls asked if they could see our tan lines...
Jackson: Yeah, yeah. We've all heard this one before.
Cooper: I don't really do a lot of embarrassing things. What about you?
Jackson: I'm not really the embarrassing type either. I leave that title to Tommy.
Lori: Neither of you have ever done anything embarrassing? Come on, one of you had to have at least made a fool of yourself in front of a girl or something!
Jackson: Other than how I acted around Caroline?? No girl's ever made me act so stupid before. She's lucky I love her.
Lori: Aww, now you’re just as sweet as can be. Caroline is one lucky girl.
Jackson: I'm the lucky one. Sincerely.

How much do you LOVE the Vampire Diaries?
Jackson: I swear Caroline watches this show. She's only gotten me to watch- no, forget it. I'm not even going to admit it here.
Cooper: Ah, come on! What is it? Gossip Girl?
Jackson: You probably watch Gossip Girl by yourself.
Cooper: Oh yeah, with all the spare time I have- I definitely spend it watching Gossip Girl.
Jackson: You would.
Cooper: What was the question again? Vampire Diaries? I don't even know what that is honestly. But I think vampires are pretty cool- not necessarily the ones that sparkle. Sorry ladies, that's just dumb.
Lori: Wow... Jackson Parks watches Gossip Girl, I think you just won back your cool points but lost some manly points in the eyes of men.
Jackson: Lori, you're killing me here. I think I just put our Cardinals date on hold.
Lori: OMG Jackson, I’m thinking I’m going to let Cooper call you a wimp again.
Cooper: Oh yeah! Take that Jax!
Jackson: What just happened here?

What would be the best super power to have and why?
Cooper: I want to fly! I know it's cliche, but how cool would flying be?
Jackson: It wouldn't be as cool as being INVISIBLE!!!!!
Cooper: Oh, that's a good one. I still want to fly though. But no capes. Remember what that lady on The Incredibles said?
Jackson: NO CAPES!
Cooper: I think we just lost all our cool points.
Jackson: You're the one who brought up the Disney movie.
Lori: Don't worry guys girls find that kind of stuff cute... but honestly I'm surprised by your answers, most men would pick x-ray vision!!!
Cooper: We're not most men.
Jackson: Yeah. We're better than most men.
Lori: Yes, I’m seeing this... Can you give my husband some pointers?
Cooper: Have him read the book.
Jackson: Yeah, MY book.
Lori: *sigh*

Would you like to say anything to J. Sterling's Fans?
Jackson: Oh hell yeah! You ladies are the best!!!! Maybe I should change my answer up there to if there was no Caroline, I'd be dating all of you!
Cooper: Not if I date them first.
Jackson: I'm the more manly one remember? I get them first. You get sloppy seconds.
Cooper: This interview has just taken a very weird turn.
Jackson: Seriously though, it's been great getting to know all of you. Thanks for liking mine and Caroline's story.
Cooper: I'm really excited for everyone to read about our other lifetime and get to know all of us better. Hopefully, you'll still love me more than you love Jackson after you read it.
Lori: Thank you to both of you adorable boys for taking the time to answer the extremely silly questions and actually doing it without complaining. Jackson as much as I loved getting to know you I have admit I'm sad that we won't be spending anymore time together in any books...maybe you can sweet talk J. into a sequel to CE or a cameo in another book? Cooper, I look forward to spending more time with you in Before the Dreams! Give your girls a hug for me.....
Jackson: Oh, I like that idea! Maybe you will see me in another book after all?
Cooper: I'm going to try to sneak into Colleen Hoover's next book. Don't worry, I'll bring the rest of the gang with me.
Jackson: You're always trying to one up me.
Cooper: I don't have to try that hard. I have 3 books and you only have 1.
Jackson: I hate you.
Cooper: No you don't.
Jackson: No, I don't. I can't hate the guy who's going to play me in a movie.
Lori: I honestly think I’d be in heaven if you appeared in a Colleen Hoover book Cooper...Here I thought I was too young for them but I’m getting hot flashes just thinking about all the male hotness in one book... I mean being around you two has been hard enough!
Cooper: I'm going to have my people contact her people. Taylor and Eddie would love each other and don't you think Katherine and Lake- um, am I allowed to call her that? Probably not. Well I think they'd love eachother too. And Will's last name? It's like we're meant to be buds.
Jackson: Seriously. What keeps happening here?

If you haven't checked out In Dreams (The Dream Series #1) or Chance Encounters I highly recommend you check them out A.S.A.P.  Not only are the books absolutely amazing but so is the woman who wrote them.... not to mention you'll get to spend time with these two hotties  Smiley

Chance Encounters Review

Chance Encounters by J. Sterling

Book description...
Caroline Weber was a normal girl who thought she had her life figured out. After graduating from college in New York, she moved to San Francisco with her boyfriend, Clay. Everything in her life felt perfect. There wasn't anything she would change...
...until she met Jackson Parks.
Is it possible that a chance meeting with a stranger can make you question EVERYTHING you thought you wanted? Caroline tries to carry on with her life as if nothing has changed...but the truth is, nothing can ever be the same.
Chance Encounters is an emotional love story about trusting and following your heart, even when it's leading you down a difficult path.
Sometimes other hearts have to break in order to keep yours intact.

Let me start off by giving J. a big huge virtual (((HUG))) and say congratulations on producing such an amazing story!  I love watching Authors.... okay in J's case Authorballs.... grow confident in their writing.  It was clear that J's confidence has grown since In Dreams.... So now I'm even more excited to read more of her work.  So J..... I know that Chance Encounters JUST came out on April 19 but I have to ask.... when is the next book coming out?  Is it soon?  Will it be part of the Dreams Series?  Another stand alone like Chance Encounters?  Huh? Huh?....  Well, maybe I should give you a few days to relax and enjoy the fact that you have published yet another book that will have readers wanting more of your hilarious heroines and sexy heroes... Anyway, Congrats J... You deserve a shot of tequila and a standing ovation for your latest release.

Caroline.... She's adorable, I really enjoyed getting to know about her and the love she has for those in her life.  She loves deep, she cares deep, and she's got a boyfriend who adores her.  But can a man be enough when you feel a deep connection with someone else... So deep that you feel it as soon as your eyes meet?... so deep that it physically hurts to think about not being around them?  Caroline faced these questions and it all began on the flight home from one of her best friends funeral... when she was already in a vulnerable spot in her life.  But the words she had just spoke at the funeral will help her begin to face these questions as they come up.

Clay was great, don't get me wrong... BUT... Jackson.... Yeah, totally inducting him into the Hotties and ♥'s club.  The chemistry between him and Caroline was undeniable... quite frankly the connection the two of them had was beautiful... it reminded me of how I feel about my husband, how I've felt about my husband since he decided he wasn't going to give up on the chase I didn't realize I was giving him, and how beautiful that deep connection with him really is!  Jackson was such a gentle man who knew he wanted Caroline, he knew there was something about her that he couldn't give up on... not that he wanted to.  But he also knew she had a boyfriend and while he respected the physical boundaries he couldn't stop his heart from falling in love and knowing he had found his other half.

Here's where it got tricky.... for everyone.....AND... here is where I'm going to stop giving you, my lovely book lovers any more information on this book.... Yep go ahead, call me a biatch, say I'm mean and that I'm always asking for spoilers but I'm keeping my mouth shut.  You'll have to read it to find out what decisions are made, who makes them, and how everything plays out....on your own.  I promise you though, you will be happy with the out come.  The story is beautiful and it reminds you of how rare it is to find that someone who is really meant for you... They always say there are a lot of fish in the sea, and don't get me wrong there are.... and it's fun to play with them... BUT how often do people come across that one special person that was meant for them?

I do have to say that while there is a love triangle in this book there is no physical cheating... and yes I know that emotional cheating is still cheating I have to say that I understood the decisions that Caroline was facing and her reasoning for not wanting to let go of either Clay or Jackson.  She faced some big ones, life altering changes if she picked one over the other, and still struggled with the fact that no matter who she picked she was going to hurt someone....something she did not want to do.  But with that said, I am so glad that while the temptation was there for Jackson and Caroline to just simply kiss... they didn't.

Chance Encounters by J. Sterling is yet another consuming book that will leave you satisfied with a sweet little love story about true soul mates that find each other and fall so deep in love.  OH!  And of course dear sweet J gives us that sarcastic humor that I love so much!  I'm going to patiently wait... okay so yeah, I'll probably bug the hell out of J so we'll say... anxiously wait for J. Sterling's next book, she's got a way with words that fully entertains me which means... this book will go on my re-read list and stay there!!!

Happy Reading!

In Dreams (The Dream Series #1) Review

In Dreams (The Dream Series #1) by J. Sterling is a special kind of book... it's emotional, filled with love and friendships, and best of all has got some of THE best LOL moments!

Book description...
When Katherine Johns starts dreaming about a boy she doesn't know, her college roommate Taylor is determined to find him. Convinced he must exist, Taylor is relentless... until she finds out exactly WHO the mysterious stranger really is.
The realization rocks the girls to their core and sends them down a path of unimaginable heartbreak as they learn to navigate their new reality.
Follow Katherine & Taylor's journey through love, friendship and tragedy in the first book of this emotionally captivating series.

So first off I just want to get out there that  J. Sterling is one of the most amazeballs Authorballs ever... YES!  I said Authorballs and no I'm not going to share the story behind that... at least not yet... because the other most amazeballs Authorballs out there is this Authorballs Author-Soul-Mate... That's right and since I've already declared my love for Colleen Hoover and all her fantastic characters I now have to declare that I adore J. Sterling just as much... but a lot of my love for her is simply because I have discovered that she is my TV soul mate... LOL, I had to sneak that one in there J Smiley

So you're probably wondering why in the world I'm going on and on about soul mates?  Well that's what this amazing story all stems from... soul connections.  Spending past lives with people.  Have you ever wondered if your significant other is your soul mate?  Or if your best friend was a friend in a past life?  Or my most recent inquiry is if my book girls and I were all somehow separated at birth....  Yeah, me too... and for those of you who think I'm crazy... it's all good there's a nice long line of others you can join... Anyway... I LOVE to believe in this kind of stuff, I think it's tons of fun to have my cards or my palm read and have been told on numerous occasions that my dear sweet husband is my soul mate... Therefore, I understood this book and the connections that were there.  They felt real to me and I loved that J. took a chance and shared her story with us because to me it was believable.  Now before I start telling you what I loved about these characters and giving you my awesome opinions on what I think they should have done I just want to take a minute of silence to appreciate J's freaking fantastic sarcastic humor... You all know how I feel about sarcasm.. and In Dreams had so much sarcasm in it that I felt like these people were my friends..... I saw someone in each character that I honestly could not help but LOVE them all... well except for one but we'll get to her later.

So it all starts off with Katherine having a dream about a boy.  A boy she doesn't know but feels this strange but extremely strong connection with... SO strong that when she wakes up she feels the physical pain from losing him.  Her roommate and new best friend, Taylor, decides to encourage her to keep an open mind about this boy and see if she happens to run into him somewhere.  Gotta say... I absolutely loved Katherine and Taylor.  Katherine was so sweet and so in love that I could actually feel the struggle she was having when it came to the very big decisions she had to make.  Taylor... OMG can I say if she was real I would want her as my BFF... there were moments where I could actually see myself in her... like the fact that she always has something to say and what she says is almost always some sort of hilarious comeback that had me cracking up....
"Fine, fine.  Yes, you have to give Cooper a chance.  Your country would want this.  If you don't date Cooper, the terrorists win.  Happy?"
I have all kinds of Taylor quotes highlighted in E. Luke.... mostly because I told J that I would highlight all the amazeballs stuff in her book and also because I'm a sucker for a good laugh and J totally gave me some awesome laughs in this book almost all through adorable little Taylor!

Then you have Cooper... Cooper is HOT, like so hot that Jenny and I have inducted him into the Hotties and ♥'s club... and we do not just induct anyone... just sayin'.  So Cooper totally has it bad for Katherine but he's not all up in your face and pushy about it... he knows there is something special about her, something he can't explain but just being around her makes him feel better... he wants to get to know her, he wants to spend time with her.  When Katherine finally decides to give Cooper a chance I swear I giggled like a little school girl and thought... It's about time girl.. this boy is hot, sweet, and most of all he's.... oopsie... sorry about that, I almost gave away something important.

Unfortunately for Cooper, Kat is still pretty stuck on dream boy.  Granted she gets all sweaty and nervous around Cooper and she knows she's totally into him... But... her feelings for Dream Boy are stronger, she can't explain it but she can't seem to get over it either.  Cooper knows that she's not quite entirely there with him emotionally but like I said before there is something about her that he just can't let go of and knows that he'll wait for her.. no matter what it takes.  Things seem to be going good for them though.. well that is until Kat goes home for Thanksgiving with Taylor......

I'm not going to talk about anything else in this book because everything from Thanksgiving weekend on will just ruin it for you.... Yes, I am a total hypocrite because I do beg my girls for spoilers... Mostly Jenny... and they hardly ever give me any even though I'm totally giving them the whiny voice and stick out my lower lip in an adorable little pout... but I'm not going to give any away because it will take away from the book, you have to feel the emotions of these characters before you learn anything else and believe me when I say.... that you will appreciate that I didn't give anything away.

Okay so let me tell you about the one character that I did not like and I have to snort at myself considering I actually do have a friend just like her and I've been friends with her since we were little but anyway.. Kylie, she is so far stuck up her own booty that she can't seem to see reason.  She's competitive.. which don't get me wrong so am I but... she's competitive in all the wrong areas.  She gets mad and jealous over the smallest things like a boy that is paying attention to another friend instead of her... Come on honey, time to grow up.. and when I say that... I'm also directing that statement to a certain someone who I have said this to on numerous occasions, even though she never listens to me and laughs because she thinks it's actually fun to be "That girl" that everyone is friends with but really kind of doesn't like for whatever reason.  HA!  I say that and now I have to ask a certain someone.... You know who you are miss MW... Why are we friends again?  Oh yeah, I remember.. I love to listen to your drama filled stories... it's totally like getting to see a real live TV show in person... LOL..

In Dreams by J. Sterling is a great book filled with humor, love, amazing friendships, and connections that last an eternity.  J has got a talent that I am ready to see more of.  She's got another book that will be released on Thursday 4/19/12 called Chance Encounters which going by the description looks like it's going to be a GREAT book as well.  Take a chance on this debut novel of an Author who has taken a chance and shared her talent with us....

Happy Reading!
