Sweet, Sexy, Scorching Giveaway Hop - Rhian Cahill

Years of slavery to four young aliens and their sire failed to squash the love of writing or reading hiding behind the facade of a boring stay-at-home mum. Escaping from the mother-ship with vivid imagination intact, Rhian uses her superpowers for good.

Okay, so that’s not quite how it happened. A 20-year marriage to her very own hero and raising a family of four kept writing on the back burner, but with more time to spend on the things she loves most, Rhian and her accomplice, Mr. Muse, have taken over. Writing in a multiple of genres keeps life interesting and busy.

An Aussie who’s spent years living overseas Rhian is now happily residing with her family back in their native land of down under. Rhian can be found in numerous places online where her love of talking is well satisfied.

She turned and slammed straight into a wall of hard muscle. Air rushed from her lungs at the impact, warmth surrounded her, enclosed her in a fiery grip that sucked every last atom of oxygen from her body. Strong arms banded around her, and Piper went soft and melted like chocolate on a hot summer day. She leaned in, pressed her breasts against the solid chest, and moaned.
“Piper.”
Her name, whispered against her ear, flowed over her. Like warm honey, it coated her skin and sent heat bursting through her veins, teasing every nerve ending. A shiver started in her curled toes and traveled up. Up, up, up, striking at sensitive places with a rush of arousal and need. Desire and want like none she’d known tore open the cage of restraint. She pressed closer, ran her hands over cloth-covered muscles that shuddered beneath her touch. An answering tremor vibrated down her spine.
Hands curled around her ribs, pushed between them, and cupped her breasts as d
elicious heat covered her back. Piper arched, thrusting her tender mounds and taut nipples into waiting fingers. Lips skimmed her jaw, teeth nipping at her skin. She moved her head to the side at the nudge of a nose and was treated to delicate licks and sucks along the column of her throat.
“So responsive.”
“So sweet.”
It took a moment for the twin comments murmured against her jaw and neck to register, but when they did, shock bloomed and panic erupted. Piper broke away, jumped from the embrace Nate and Sam held her in. Harsh breaths burned in her chest, scored at her throat, as she stared at the two men before her. How could she have allowed them to touch her like that? To stand between them as though it were the only place she should be?
“Oh God.” Piper brought her hands up to cover her face. She had no excuse for what she’d done, no explanation. Heat seared her face as embarrassment at her behavior flooded her, doing its best to drown the arousal still swimming in her blood. But nothing short of a tidal wave could douse the flames blazing inside her core. Pip spun on her heel, ready to bolt for the door, but she hadn’t taken two steps when she found herself once again caught between two hot male bodies.
Gasping and trembling, she buried her face against Nate’s soft cotton shirt and prayed for the ground to open up and swallow her whole. Why was there never a good sinkhole when you needed one? And why think about stupid holes in the ground when she was trapped between two of the most gorgeous men she’d ever met? Had she gone mad?

Lengths Review

Lengths by Steph Campbell and Liz Reinhardt

Book description...
Nineteen-year-old Whit Conrad leaves her conservative Pennsylvania home for sunny California, looking for independence, a fresh start, and a place to stash her grief. She promptly finds a job at a tattoo parlor, a craptastic first apartment, and one friend—Ryan—who is a little less friend, a little more benefits.
Deo Beckett is a soulful surfer with a passion for tattoos and beautiful women. On the eve of his twenty-second birthday, he finds himself living with his grandfather, recently unemployed, and seriously adrift. He doesn’t know much about what he wants out of life, but he does know his current situation isn't cutting it.
When Deo meets Whit, she’s all sexy makeup and fierce, smart-ass fun. It doesn’t take him long to see past her tough shell. And when he gets a good look at what's under all the superficial stuff that usually gets his attention, it leaves Deo wondering if there might be more to life than living fast and free.
Too bad Whit has a past she doesn't plan on sharing—no matter how hot Deo is. She might want him, but she knows better than to let her guard down.
Deo falls for Whit, and falls hard. But everything about her, down to that mysterious tattoo and the way she thrashes in her sleep, tells him that the girl he loves is hiding something. And the more he pushes for answers, the more Whit pulls away.
Having your guard up is one thing, but are the lengths Whit goes to to protect her secret worth throwing away the second chance she has at happiness with Deo?

It wasn't a secret that I was anxious for the release of this book... when I received the email from Liz and Steph with the Title, Cover, and Book description, I was jumping for joy for numerous reasons!  One... I adore Liz, Two... I adore Steph, Three... they teamed up together and wrote an adult romance novel, and the best of all and so worth repeating is... They Teamed Up Together and Wrote an Adult Romance Novel!!!!  Like I said that last one is so worth repeating because both Liz and Steph have this amazing ability to write so clearly that you feel the characters feelings almost to the point of experiencing them yourself.  Lengths was no different.. I felt for them, I fell in love with them, and I was sad when my time with them was over.

So my feelings for Whit were kind of like a roller coaster.   I adored her quick sense of humor and her strong sense of loyalty... what I didn't fully understand about her was her.... we'll call it motivation... that kept her from forming any kind of emotional attachments.  Her reasons pulled at my heart because I feel where she is coming from to a point but at the same time she was putting too much pressure on herself... to much blame for something she could have had no control over.  Half the time I wanted to hug her and the other half I wanted to smack her... there were two reasons I wanted to smack her and one of those was the very sexy, bad boy Deo.

...sigh... Deo, I could sit here and dream about Deo for hours.  He's a typical laid back, go with the flow, bad boy that is just out to have a good time with whoever may come along.... until he meets Whit.  There is something about her that has his insides screaming to actually take the time to get to know her.  He's in unchartered territory when it comes to wooing a woman that he plans to actually make his but he decides that he'll stop at nothing to make her take a chance on him for more than just sex.   Deo made me sigh... a lot!  He was sweet to a fault and pretty much wore his heart on his sleeve when it came to Whit.
"There's no limit to the lengths I'd go to make you happy, doll."
He knew what he saw in Whit and he was determined to make her see it too.  Even if it did mean crossing some lines... lines he hoped he was fixing for her in order to show her how much she meant to him.  But, because Whit still has yet to actually deal with the grief she's experiencing she gives Deo a run for his money and a whole lot of confusion.

Lengths by Steph Campbell and Liz Reinhardt was a witty, easy yet emotional read that had me shhh'ing my husband and kiddos just so I could finish each chapter.  The story flowed smoothly and I found myself thinking how amazing these two lovely authors worked together in order to create a virtually flawless book.  Congrats to Liz and Steph... I hope we will get to see you two work together again in the near future!!!

Happy Reading!

Sweet, Sexy, Scorching Giveaway Hop - Meg Benjamin

Snippets from Brand New Me:

Okay, here’s a bit from Brand New Me, Konigsburg, Book 5. My hero, Tom, has just pulled my heroine, Deirdre, out on the dance floor. Deirdre’s been trying to ignore the heat between them. Up until now, that is.

Tom maneuvered her expertly around a swaying couple, his hand moving down slightly to the side of her hip. She could feel the warmth of his palm against her skin where her T-shirt had pulled up.

Every inch of her body was suddenly sweltering, infected by the heat of his hand. Deirdre felt a clenching deep in her body that had nothing to do with nervousness and everything to do with how close his body was to hers as they made one more turn across the dance floor.

She closed her eyes: Oh god, oh god, oh god. This really wasn’t supposed to happen—at least not like this, not with him, not right now.

Here’s another bit from Brand New Me. It follows Deirdre’s dance with Tom. And this is what she feels like when the dance is over.

He brought her upright again slowly in the midst of the noise and applause. She felt her face growing warm. What should she say? What could she say after something like that? She felt like she’d just engaged in some kind of sex act in front of a large crowd of beer drinkers. And she wasn’t even embarrassed—just sort of stunned.

Sweet, Sexy, Scorching Giveaway Hop - PG Forte

Despite XXX's well deserved reputation for being a hard-ass, his exercise classes are very popular (especially with the ladies) and always well attended. When not doing his part to keep Hollywood's beautiful people as beautiful as possible, he can be found rescuing damsel's in distress, co-writing screenplays or squiring his ex-squeeze to various events around town. He's a good friend, a very accomplished lover and more than adequate as arm-candy. Although he prides himself on his patience and iron self-control the truth is he's extremely susceptible to feminine wiles.

Sweet, Sexy, Scorching Giveaway Hop - Mari Carr

Quotes from Misplaced Princess

“Why did you kiss me back there?”
Shit. Hunter was hoping she’d forget that little tidbit. The answer was simple—pure, instant animal attraction. He’d been worked up and horny as shit after his encounter with the blonde in the bar.
What he told her was different, and he tried not to wince at his own cocky, arrogant tone. “When a pretty broad throws herself at me, I’m not likely to refuse.”
Her eyes narrowed. “I didn’t throw myself at you. If you were any sort of gentleman, you would have told me who you were right away.”
“Kind of hard to talk when someone’s got their tongue in your mouth.”
“You put your tongue in my mouth first.”

“I’m writing a four-part series about life on a cattle station. And I’m supposed to interview a real live Aussie cowboy.”
She looked at him hopefully—and he knew he was in trouble.
“I’m a stockman, Annie. We’re called stockmen over here, or grazier, if we’re being more formal. Which we’re not.”
“Oh. Okay. Then I need to shadow a stockman.”
“Me?”
She lifted one shoulder as if to ask why not. “I’d intended to interview Dylan, but he’s not here and likely won’t be for a while. The first piece is due in three days and once I start, I sort of need to stick with the same cow…er, stockman.” She really expected him to take her back to the cattle station? Let her follow him around for two weeks watching him work? How was he supposed to keep his hands off her if she was under his roof and his bloody brother was half a world away?
Dylan better get his arse back Down Under, and quick.
Otherwise, this was not going to end well.

 Characters from Misplaced Princess

Hunter Sullivan - An Australian stockman, he's a no-nonsense man who takes the responsibility of running his family's cattle station very seriously. He doesn't have time for love and he teases his twin brother, Dylan, for his romantic tendencies.

Annie Prince - daughter of a mega-millionaire. Her family gives the Kardashians a run for their money, constantly seeking the attention of the media. Her sisters have their own reality show, Life with the Princesses. She struggles to be taken seriously as a journalist and she's tired of men only asking her out because of her family's wealth and fame. While under the influence of too much wine, she signs up for an online dating service.

Mari is giving away one signed copy of Dangerous Curves.

It might have taken a while, but in December of 2005, she finally got “the call.” Her first book, Photo Opportunity had been contracted. Now you can’t hold her down. She’s completed a whole host of books, and is finally doing the work she loves most— writing romance. Jess likes to set her stories in Australia. Warning!! Keep a tissue or two handy while reading this book. While it does contain a few steamy love scenes, the rest of the story might just make you cry.

Only Tyler

Love…or friendship? Does she really have to choose?

Circle of Friends, Book 1

Katelyn Rosewood is facing a moral dilemma, one that’s six-foot-two, sexy as sin—and her fiancĂ©’s best friend. Katie spent a lot of time getting over Tyler Bonnard, but now that he’s back in Sydney, he’s turning her carefully reconstructed world upside down.
Her relationship with Steve Sommers may be short on heat and desire, but after Tyler left her two years before, she’ll take security and solid friendship over wild passion any day. Except Tyler seems to have a good—if outrageous—explanation for why he’s returned.
After a tragic family secret tore him out of Katie’s life, Tyler is glad to be back with his two best friends. But one thing is out of place: Katie’s in the wrong man’s arms. And if her reaction to his return is any indication, she’s not quite over him. Which could mean hope for Tyler, heartbreak for Steve…
And another devastating loss for Katie, who must choose between the man to whom she’s committed her future, and the man who still holds her heart.

***********

This book might just make you cry, but it’ll make you smile as well. The story will probably get you all hot and bothered too. It contains naughty activities in the car, sex on the kitchen counter (and up against the wall), a quickie in the garden, a little experimenting with scarves—oh, and some hot loving in the bedroom.

Steve’s Story

When love is threatened by truth, every moment counts…

Circle of Friends, Book 2

Steve Sommers is having a gut-wrenching week. His fiancĂ©e has left him, the woman who broke his heart is back in town—and they’re all gathered at the bedside of his best friend, who’s in a coma. The emotional ties between them are strained to the breaking point. Like it or not, it’s up to Steve to find the strength and compassion to support the four of them through the toughest ordeal of their lives.
In the midst of the turmoil and trauma, passion unexpectedly flares anew between Steve and the woman he loves. Suddenly the future he’d believed lost lies within his reach. But she still carries the secret that once tore them apart, and determined to protect Steve from the truth, she fights their rekindled relationship every step of the way.
Now the fragile bond they’ve developed hangs in the balance, threatened by a reality that love may not be strong enough to overcome…

Jess is giving away two books from her backlist to one winner.

 Love Song
The lights, the crowds...the success that comes with fame and fortune. For rock star Ami it's a double edged sword and eventually drives her into a headlong flight away from it all!

The last thing she's expecting is to be rescued by the one man who can make it all right.

Excerpt -
Edward was a gentleman, but having a sexy woman changing in the back of his car was a hard temptation to resist.
Wow, she has a nice body. She peeled off the layers of clothing and he watched her in the rearview mirror, feeling a sudden urge to pull over and help her out of her clothes. It was the least he could do, right? He quickly shook off the thoughts and forced his concentration back to driving since he was swerving wildly in his lane. A pair of oncoming headlights on the two-lane road really helped the focus.
His jeans threatened to rip at the crotch when he glanced back again and stifled a groan as she slid her black thong off her feet and flung it into the front seat. His thoughts were now freaking him out.
A blaring horn and oncoming headlights jerked him back into the real world and Ami flopped around in the back seat. He almost cut off the car in the lane next to him when he swerved back into his lane. The other driver flipped him off as he passed.
Didn’t the asshole know he had a seminude rock singer in the backseat? Edward thought for a second, What the hell am I doing in the front if I have a sexy babe in the backseat unclothed?
Ami plopped back into the front seat. “Well I found this T-shirt and a pair of camouflage shorts. It’s ironic that I’m wearing camouflage since I’ve got to go commando on the underwear.”
The thought made Edward bite his lip. A little voice from between his legs whispered, “Commando? I think we need to do a special reconnaissance mission over the area.”

Guest Post from Author Sydney Logan

A Big thanks to Author Sydney Logan for stopping by today and telling us a little about herself.  Well actually she is going to give us her thoughts on encouraging someone to be themselves regardless if you agree with their choices or not... something that is important to me because in my eyes everyone deserves to be who they are meant to be.

So please give it up for Syndey......

Thank you to Lori’s Book Blog for welcoming me during my blog tour!
As a writer, I find it difficult to not interject pieces of my personality into my stories. While Lessons Learned is definitely a work of fiction, I can’t deny that there are aspects of Sarah Bray’s personality that intersect with mine.
Like Sarah, I grew up in a traditional town in the South (but not quite as conservative as the fictional community of Sycamore Falls). Growing up, I preferred record players to Barbie dolls, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is still my favorite 80s movie. Like my heroine, I also struggled with certain aspects of religion. I have always been a Christian, but it took many years (and several churches) until I found a comfortable pew. Luckily, I was raised by two parents who didn’t “force” me to believe in anything – religious, political, or otherwise. They taught me to be an honest person and to think for myself.
They also taught me that I don’t have to necessarily agree with someone in order to be kind to them, which is the heart of my debut novel, Lessons Learned.
I love free-thinkers. I love people who don’t conform. I love people who formulate their own opinions. And a person doesn’t have to be militant about it. I’m a firm believer that you can have traditional values and beliefs (whatever your traditions are) and still be kind to another human being.
In a world full of labels, it’s sometimes hard to march to the beat of your own drum.
Are you Republican? Democrat? Catholic? Baptist?
Do you like country music? Heavy metal? Opera? Rap?
Does it matter?
It shouldn’t.
Be you.

Again, Thank you so much to Lessons Learned Author, Sydney Logan for stopping by today and talking about encouraging someone to be themselves.

If you haven't done so yet make sure you add Lessons Learned  to your Goodreads shelf.  I loved this book, it was touching in so many ways that I couldn't help but fall in love with each of the characters.  Check out my review (here).  I'm sure you will love it too... just make sure to have the kleenex ready!
